Brevetti (licence)
Cycle along the cycle-tour routes, keep track of your trips and get your licence.

Cycle through the Mugello territory and keep track of your trips with your very own cycle-tour card using the digital signage totems with sensors as you "race by" the time trial runs.

Here are the challenging Brevetti you can strive for:

a)  BREVETTO CICLOTURISTICO DEL MUGELLO - GRAN TOUR

You finish the Gran Tour by "marking" your Cycle-Tour CARD at the totem/signage with sensors along the route.

The 13 totems with sensors are found in:

  • Barberino di Mugello ("ride by" sensor)
  • Feta Pass("ride by" sensor)
  • Raticosa Pass
  • Firenzuola
  • Valico del Paretaio
  • Palazzuolo sul Senio
  • Marradi
  • Dicomano
  • Ponte a Vicchio
  • Borgo San Lorenzo
  • Vetta Le Croci (Olmo)
  • San Piero a Sieve
  • Scarperia

You can start the tour at any point along the route to get your Mugello gran Cycle-tour Brevetto license as long as you move clockwise from sensing point to sensing point and it takes you less than 9 days to complete the tour. As well as the totems, you will find yellow road signs along the route.

To receive the Brevetto you must be registered twice at your chosen starting totem: at the time of departure and that of your arrival.

At the Barberino di Mugello and Futa Pass totems it is sufficient to pass in the vicinity of the digital signage with your CARD out. The registration will be automatic as you "race by".

IMPORTANT: a beeping sound is heard when the sensors pick up your card. If you fail to hear the beep, try again. The absence of sound means that your passage was not registered. Once it has registered (by beeping), it will not do so again (by beeping) for another half hour.

b) BREVETTO DELLO SCALATORE

This license can be received by completing and registering the 7 climbs, in the correct direction, at the digital signage totems at the start and finish of each climb.

The climbs are:

  • Sambuca Pass from Palazzuolo sul Senio
  • Raticosa Pass from Firenzuola
  • Colla di Casaglia Pass from Borgo San Lorenzo
  • Futa Pass from Barberino di Mugello
  • Giogo Pass from Scarperia
  • Valico del Paretaio from Firenzuola
  • Vetta Le Croci (Olmo) from Borgo San Lorenzo

For the Valico del Paretaio ascent, the starting point is in the vicinity of the totem in Firenzuola since there is no digital signage at Coniale.

At the Barberino di Mugello and Futa Pass totems it is sufficient to pass in the vicinity of the digital signage with your CARD out. The registration will be automatic as you "race by".

To receive your Brevetto dello Scalatore you must complete the routes within a maximum of 6 months (not necessarily consecutive) in a year.

You can receive your CERTIFICATE at authorized centres or you can receive it by mail at your home address.
